Japan (episodes 1-29). It is also the ending theme for episode 69. Sung by RYTHEM, it has a very catchy tune, and is probably one of the most memorable themes in the anime. The "pan" in the title has a double meaning. Not only does it refer to the country of Japan, it also refers to the bread. "Pan" is a term for bread. They say it was a pun on the part of the mangaka. So Ja-pan = Japanese Bread. It makes sense since it's the goal of the main protagonist, Azuma Kazuma, to make the ultimate Japanese bread. - The Anime News Network entries on Yakitate!!
